After 40k on the odometer my stock tires are showing some wear. Anyone have any suggestions for rims or rims and tires I should look into? I'd like something I can get some mileage out of, that's the only requirement I have.

hmm, something to think about that's for sure. I'll have to look around. I was tempted to go with a set of rock stars but looking at a price of the rims and tires I'm unsure if I want to drop ~2,200.

I'm a fan of the Hankook Dynapro AT/M tire (RF10). Pretty aggresive AT and i have been able to put about 12k miles on mine right now and they still look brand new. Your vehicle is not that heavy (not heavier than mine anyways) so the mileage should be similar. I would think most MT tires wont yield you anywhere near as many highway miles as an all season or AT. The hankooks are also a bit cheaper than some of the BGF and Goodyears.

    Don't get rockstars, please.
Go with some soft 8's and some nice MTR's, the rims will run maybe 80 a piece or even less, mtr's run for maybe 150-200+ a piece depending on size you want.

Any good sites I should be looking at tires on? All I really know is tirerack. A buddy of mine who used to be a Jeep mechanic now works for a good year dealer and they also serve as a tirerack installer but I know they'd cut me a decent price for installing any tire I brought in.

He's not really going to get mileage out of MTR's though.

If you want mileage and something a bit more aggressive, BFG AT's would be my choice.

Hankook is a tire that costs less - and performs quite well!
