Tired of MS Outlook...any other suggestions?

I know there are other programs out there, just wanted to hear some feedback.

thunderbird is probably the most popular non-ms alternative.

+1 Thunderbird. If you need a calendar that can accept and generate meeting invitations, you can install the Lightning plugin. It's currently under heavy development as it is recognized to be the key feature that Outlook still has over Thunderbird.

Every mail program I have tried is lacking in many ways, mostly when it comes to IMAP.

I currently use the Opera M2 client which is actually pretty superb; the only intensely annoying thing is it refreshes all the shared IMPA folders and tries to get all the messages from them so I then have to re-unsubscribe.

I use Thunderbird at work. It's so-so. Not as nice as gmail, but usable.

I use gmail for personal email, but I hate their interface. they break standards left-and-right and its slow.

Only the new version coming up that is based off Thunderbird. I just got through supporting Eudora for the past 3 years. LOSE.

Someone mentioned something about an Opera email client? Is it any good, not including the fact that it's made by Opera and therefore is inherently superior to everything else?

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear what the one guy thought was lacking in Thunderbird's IMAP connector. There may be (gasp!) plugins that address those problems.

MSOE is a piece of fucking shit. I like MSO but OE needs to die a short but painful death.
