Tips on Minimizing Muscle Loss During Cut?

    I planning on doing HIT - jump roping for 30 minute intervals a couple times a day.

    And yes, I've read the stickies.

    lift weights and eat alot of protien, I generally shoot for 1g/lbs of body weight.

    This was from t-nation, so obviously they were trying to sell their creatine. But they said that CEE was good during a cut, and I can't see a reason why it Wouldn't be.

    Lose the weight really slowly but consistantly. Go to the gym and make sure you arnt in too much of a caloric defecit.

    qft.. aim for 1-2lbs a week.. no more than that. personally, i try not to go over 1.5lbs...

    If you have to drop the weight fast though, then the best thing you can do is be smart about your diet, bust your ass in the gym, and take in high amounts of protein.

    Werd. The answer is not to try and lose it too quickly.

    GENERALLY speaking - the quicker you lose weight, the higher % will be muscle.

    Lots of protein, keep trying hard in the gym too. Just because you're cutting doesn't mean you shouldn't push yourself in the gym. Some people even improve their lifts while on a cut.

    Basically - diet like you want to lose weight but work out like you want to gain it.
