MMA tips on doing jits for 5 consecutive hours?

    Tomorrow I am going to step onto the mat at 4, and hopefully not come off till 9pm. Any tips? Hillary?

    Take breaks, keep drinking water, and eat something in the middle. I've been to wrestling camps that had 5-6 hour sessions, it's not bad if you're having fun :dunno:

    honestly i'd love to do Jits for 5 hours straight....hell i'd do it all day long if i had the time/money

    Most jits Ive ever done is probably 1.5-2 hours.


    Not to mention trying to retain all the new information.

    Got nothing else to do in rio de janeiro :dunno: thinking of trying to do boxing to :x:


    I think whey costs a shit ton here. Dunno about dextros and malt. Right now Im eating creatine/AIFM acia

    Buy a bottle of coconut water before you go. Drink it, along with lots of regular water throughout the workout.

    Pace yourself, nothing sucks worse than being exhausted for 3 straight hours.

    Honestly, I don't recommend 5 hours straight. Your body and your mind need a break.

    Can I get that at the store, or do I need to buy it from a street vendor?

    I am going to try atleast 2 sessions in a row. Depending on how I feel ill go for a 3rd.

    @ DLR there isnt enough mat space, so its not like you go every round. Today I did 4/5, also I can cool down when the 2nd/3rd class people are warming up.


    My goal is to 3 hours jits/1 hour boxe every day. If I can dedicate myself Id like to take an mma fight when I get back to the states. :x:

    Mercados tendo to have them. Street vendors will only have it straight out of the coconut.

    DLR, Gracie Tijuca, Gracie Barra, and Axke are some of the only places in Rio where you're going to get as much time on the mat as off, waiting for space. I trained at several places where you were running into each other constantly with three groups rolling. Even still, do two sessions.

    You can just watch the third, let your body rest. You'd be amazed how much you can pick up just by watching the upper belts roll together.
