So I have a great domain name in mind, but it's already taken. But the good news is that it's set to expire end of October. I checked the site and it's parked with no activity or updates on it for quite a while.

What are some tips to try and snatch up this domain name if the owner doesn't renew on time? I really want this domain name! :x:

I think there are some sites that offer services like that, I wouldn't trust myself to do it, because if you think a domain is good, so do 50 other people

How much are we talking about here? I'm willing to spend up to $100 or so if I can get this domain.

They'll most likely renew it on the last day or second to last day. Missed out on a bunch because of people doing that shit.

What's lame is the domains that expire and instead of being free to re-regsiter after the expiration AND the waiting period, they put them up for auction or mark them as premium domains or whatever.

I'm hoping the owner is a lazy SOB and don't check his emails that often.
