I am not talking about sticking to a training regiment, I have no problem whatsoever with this. But, I am talking about sticking to a diet/cut regiment. It seems I lack the willpower to stick with my weightloss/cutting goals when it comes to food and the types of food I eat. I'll sound like a pussy, but for me it is really hard to not eat certain foods which are not going to help me accomplish my goals.

I am curious how other people combat their cravings or caving in when trying to cut.

I try to include the food i love/crave into my regular diet plan somehow so when I do get cravings, I tell myself, x days/hrs till I can have it.

    Appetite suppressants usually help too

dont beat yourself up if you 'cheat' once or twice a week.

a good diet and cutting is somewhat long term and one cheat a week isn't going to kill you in the long run

draw inspiration from wherever you can.
Personally, while it may be a bit :ugh: to some, when I felt like binging I would tell myself to drink 10 big gulps of water instead.

I just won't buy anything bad at the grocery store. When I crave sugar, I eat almonds or just keep drinking water.

Plan for cheat meals/refeeds. Use them to your advantage. I can stay strict alot longer knowing I have a refeed coming up in the near future.

whenever youre about to buy a pastry/sweet or something that doesnt fit in your diet think of this phrase:

"nothing tastes better than being in the best shape of your life"

    works for me.

Just suck it up. If you're ok with the way you look, then you're more prone to not stick with it. I'm not happy with the way I look, so sticking to my cut for the past 5-6 weeks has been easy.

Every time you want to quit dieting take your shirt off and look at yourself in the mirror. Grab your gut/pinch your fat and if you still want to quit, quit.

I'm getting back on the horse this week....and I'm going to use this theory...just stand in front of the mirror, take a handful of fat and go to he gym and toss that bag of chips in the trash that my wife brings home.

understand that you are plowing through a phase that most people on this earth do not have the willpower to pursue through it's end, but you do.
