tips for overcoming quad and ham soreness?

    started back up after 4 months off and my legs are KILLING me.. and tonight is squat night again :wtc:

    If its really sore... I like a light leg day immediately after. Just enough to get blood flowing the area. Always worked for me though can't speak for anyone else.

    yeah, climbing stairs actually hurts. so light squats today?

    Yeah... very light. Goal is to just get a slight pump.

    honestly..light cardio with gentle stretching..and epsom salt bath soak

    After a 4 month layoff you shouldn't be performing as much volume during your workouts as you were before. You have to gradually build your volume back up.

    fix your diet and make sure you are getting proper post workout nutrition.

    soft tissue work and contrast showers can help.

    just suck it up and deal with it.. you'll be fine in a couple of weeks once you get back into a groove.

    i'm always confused as to whats proper pre and post workout nutrition :sad2:

    everyone always goes back and forth and says this is, that isn't, etc....

    protein and carbs... theres no argument about it

    2 scoops whey, 5-10g creatine, gatorade.

    this worked for me about a month ago when I had ridiculous leg soreness.... also some good stretching after the warmup is great. I think that pretty much decreased my soreness to a barable level.
