A&P Tips for getting better pics out of my Powershot A300?

    tripod :)
    take lots and lots of shots and pick the best to show

    I do like the 3rd pick though

    It looks to me like your camera works just fine. If you want to take better night pics of your car get yourself a good flash unit with an extension cord and a tripod. With the camera on the tripod, have a buddy hold the flash five or six feet to the side of the camera and fire away. Wrap the flash head in a white hankerchief to diffuse the light for a softer look.

    Another techinque is to buy a cheap small flash unit and a "slave" unit that fires the flash when it senses the light from your camera flash. Use the slave flash as a side or backlight. You can buy a small flash and slave for about $60.
