I remember seeing this somewhere and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.

I just remembered I've got a full auto Tippmann A5 (E-grip) that would make a prime candidate for this. :naughty:

But I already has a PB gun. And I didn't know you could buy full auto BB guns. I'm looking for something for neighborhood cats. :mamoru:

Frozen paintballs work pretty good for that.

What I'm looking for is a specific conversion kit I saw online somewhere. I forgot to save the link. It was basically a new barrel with a small hopper that sat on top. It's mostly for a shits and giggles novelty item.

The one I use to have shot frozen paintballs fine. The might contract when frozen but didnt seem to affect velocity much they'd still cause welts and sometimes break skin.

A paint ball gun loaded with delrin plastic .68 inch bearings work well for home defense if you're not looking to kill. I know a guy in one of my classes that used this set up and it cracked 5 of the bugler's ribs.

thats the first thing i thought of. shooting someone with a fucking paintball gun (with plastic bearings, no less) and breaking their ribs is a great way to get sued.

Only thing I could think of is you don't want some wrongful death law suite with the "he was a good kid he would never harm anyone even if he broke into their house at 3 am routine."

Though busting a couple ribs is a great way to get sued for medical bills emotion distress and the like, at least a dead thief has less medical bills.

Plus at least some states have passed laws to protect the individual in self-defence or situation where someone breaks into your house, against lawsuits.

Personally, I think a guy who breaks into your house with you home become much more of a threat when you break his ribs and piss him off, but have no sure way of stopping him. :dunno:

edit: then again he did say classes, maybe he is in college and either too young to own a firearm, or living on campus where possessing one is prohibited, but a paintable gun is allowed?

I don't agree with any of those points. I wouldn't want a burglar crawling around in my house with broken ribs.

Also, most schools that prohibit firearms also ban paintball/airsoft (at least my school does).

I don't agree with the kind of thinking I posted either, except for the laws protecting people who use weapons in self defense from lawsuits (that's a good idea), but I can however see how a person may think in that manner. Just playing devil's advocate.

I agree that a guy with broken ribs is still a threat to you.

About the schools :dunno: I haven't followed school policies, plus I only spent one year on campus.

Florida has castle doctrine. You're guaranteeing yourself a lawsuit if you only injure an intruder.

I know, actually it is more than castle doctrine now. We have "stand your ground" now.

quick write up form law.com from before the law went into effect.

Gone will be "the duty to retreat" from potentially bloody confrontations that's now built into Florida's criminal justice statutes. Instead, the law will recognize that everyone has "the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force" if they reasonably believe it's necessary to avoid death or serious injury.

Under such circumstances, those who kill or wound will have immunity from both criminal prosecution and civil liability. The new law will give them a general legal presumption that they acted out of "reasonable fear." And they'll be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees, court costs and lost income incurred in defending any civil lawsuit filed by their victims.
