I just found out about this a week ago, thought I'd share.

You know how much of a bitch it is to put on or take off 45 pound plates with the barbell on the ground? Especially if you want to put on the weight..

if you put a dumbbell under one side, that side will be elevated and you can take the weight off or put it on easily

ORRRRRRRRR you could load the 45 on the sides and put a 2.5lb plate under the 45.... not there is room to slide the plate on

I haven't been to a single gym where they have a bar jack. First time I've ever seen one was while watching Ronnie Coleman: The Incredible

werd, and when you unloading the weight after deadlifts or whatever, remove all the plates from one side and then tip the bar vertical and the other plates will slide right off.

here's a tip: 3 45's on one side, with nothing on the other, will tip the bar off the rack

dot. I use a 2.5 too because it's easy to get it under the single 45 and not be in the path of the new 45s you are sliding on.
