dont know about cleaning, but I was told 3-5 days by my tint shop.

I gave it 5-6 just to be sure.

The shop will not only tell you but also put tape over your window buttons with the date on it so you know...at least the shop that did my did that.

    Depends.

If it's over 60 and you keep it in DIRECT sun all day, 2 days will be fine.

If it's cloudy and cooler, at least 4 days, max 1 week.

I got pretty tight with the tinter around here. He told me "You could roll your windows down today if you wanted, but we are saving our ass if something goes wrong".

When I got my tint done a few years ago, he told me 24 hours. It was 99 degrees and 100% humidity, so I just cranked on the AC and happily kept the windows up.

geez, the place I got my windows tinted didn't say anything about the defroster... then again it was May so perhaps they thought it was not an issue... At any rate I waited a few months before I used it :eek3:

This thread reminds me I need to get my windows tinted before summer. Big issue when you have a black car!

Definitely going to use the place that did the tint on my Accord. I kept the car nearly 9 years after I had the windows tinted and they still looked great! No fading, no bubbles, etc.

Are you talking about the little black dots? When I was getting prices from tint shops one told me that they would sand them or scrape them off if I wanted. I didn't use them so I don't know how that would look.

not that I can tell. on the edges of some of the dots it looks like the tint isn't stuck to anything but it really isnt bubbled. I can't seem to get it to show in pics.
