5+ Years on my XD without a detail strip. I don't know if thats good or bad actually. I guess I should do it but I'm lazy to do more than a field strip/clean.

yeah was really easy, took about 15 minutes to break down, 20 minutes to put back together..

after the first time I can detail strip and reassemble in about 5-10 minutes :big grin:

    link to instructions?

I wouldn't mind detail striping mine, but I don't think it's reccomended, and I'd need a reference to put back together.

I have the Sig Armorers DVD....

I thought about doing a pictorial step by step but that proves to be more confusing than helpful for most people and the DVD is really good.

I like to field strip to completely get the gunk that came with the gun out of the internal components and then properly lubricate all the internals with weaponshield.

Ehh, Im sure most people wouldn't do it either..

Taking apart a gun is like lego compared to what I usually take apart.
