wow, impressive list. Thanks. Care to give me any suggestions as to what components I should get?
I just picked up this processor/mobo combo at newegg:
CPU AMD 64 |4000+ ATHLON 64 939P RT - Retail (Qty=1,Price=$334.00)
MB BIOSTAR NF4ST-A9 NF4 RETAIL - Retail (Qty=1,Price=$73.00)
20 dollar discount as a combo, great processor, great deal.
It has a lot of post thanksgiving sales going right now. Noteably, $40 nec burner & $185 for 2gb of gskill extreme series.
Has a xfx 7800gt for under 300 AR and it comes with COD2.
another good site
Those are the three sites I frequent most to buy comp parts.
I hope that helps.
Thanks for all the links guys, it helped alot. Here's the setup I came up with so far, I think all I need to get still is a case w/power supply and fans and I'll be good to go. What do you think about this setup?: ASUS K8N4-E Deluxe motherboard $87.00 AMD Athlon64 3200+ CPU w/fan $194.00 XFX GeForce 6600LE PCIe video card $79.00 Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 SATA 160 GB HD $60.00 Wintec AMPO DDR400 SDRAM 1 GB $75.00 NEC ND3540A DVD/CD burner combo drive $42.00
if you are planning to do any gaming, don't expect spectacular results from any video card that has "LE" in it's name. but if you aren't a freak about fps that looks fine.
Gaming isn't a concern
