    Hello,
I have a Couple of questions...

If i wanted to upgrade to leopard, can I create 3 partitions on my ext. HDD, one in Fat32 so that I could use it to back up my parents windows computer, and 2 in HFS+ format? If i do this, can I use time machine on one of the HFS+ formats?

My second question is what do people think of this external Hard drive? 500gb Iomega... Does anyone also know if spins down and if it is fanless?

There's little point in putting Time Machine on a different partition on the same drive. Drive takes a crap and you're fucked. Get a dedicated drive for Time Machine. You don't want the added stress put on your backup drive by using it for stuff other then backup.
