Time Capsule....

    Now that the Time Capsule has been out for awhile what do you guys think about it? ive been wanting one for awhile. Worth it? I would get the 500gb

    Yeh, nice little piece of hardware. Well worth the price, imo.

    My only complaint is that backups are slooow.

    Set them up to backup at night. :dunno:

    You can't by default, they're hourly. Plus most people use them to backup wireless machines like laptops. You'd have to leave your laptop up and running all night then.

    Forgot about that, I usually have mine off and when I want to do a backup I usually just click on the icon, and select Backup Now. Usually once a week or so. Of course that sort of defeats the purpose I suppose.

    What kind of machine do have? If you have an 802.11N machine or a wired connection, the backups aren't that bad at all after the first one.

    get an airport and a usb drive, much cheaper.
