I did this like 2 years ago during my logo/border stage...that got thrown out. I haven't really done that effect since.

Some of them are really cool, not so sure I'd spend the money for a real tilt shift lens though.

I have the 24mm TS-E, and I think its one of the most under rated lenses I've ever owned. Its what sits on my camera 90% of the time. Especially when hiking.

I don't use it for the fake miniature stuff. What I like about it is that I can tilt the lens and keep more of the image in focus at a lower aperture, even if the subject is angled away from me. I can post some stuff I've done with it, though.

This is two images stacked and stitched in PS.

Again, two images taken with the 24mm TS-E on a 5D. This is an image where I actually used the tilt feature, to keep more in focus.

The really cool thing is that you can take two images vertically with a 5D, stitch them together, and come out with a large format image that's almost 26 MP.

Thanks for the tut, going to try it out when I get home. Something new for me to try. Little things like this make me get a little more comfortable with PS
