SRS tightness in throat when thinking about suicide

    ive always wondered about this... when i think about killing myself or about hopelessness in general, i get this tightness or uncomfortable sensation in my throat, right below the adams apple and above the sternum... does anyone else ever feel this?

    No...but I'm sure it's just a normal sign of nervousness/anxiety.

    your body will tighten up if put in fearful situations.

    thinking of death/the unknown scares you.

    Bingo. It's an emotional response to sadness, anxiety, depression etc.
