Is it possible to back up your emails in Thunderbird? Like Outlook has .pst files, is there an equivalent for Thunderbird?

You can save an individual email as a .eml file. Are you using POP or IMAP? If you are using POP, you probably have all the emails as .eml files somewhere on your comptuer already and can just back those up.

Pop, no .eml files and I can't see where it points anywhere.

check in your profile directory, there will be Mail, then you can grab the files there for backup.

I know I'm answering a question that hasn't been asked, but if you're looking around the Mail directory and the files look really huge, even after deleting all the Trash, you might want to compact the folders. In Thunderbird, select your account, and in the File menu select "Compact Folders"
