I've seen the Doc twice now, and still taking anti inflamatory Mobic (Meloxicam) for it. He still claims that I won't need surgery over even phyiscal therapy... but the shit still hurts at select times (I have noticed it has gotten slightly better)

I tried to get up 135 on Monday.. got it off okay, but got it half way down and felt it start to pinch... spotter pulled it back up.

I hate this shit. Not just bench, but anything upper body pretty much except back and tri's. I can do bi's but not with the normal weight I'm used to; had to lighten it up.

Am I looking at a July ETA of being able to bench/shoulders again?

I don't know man, just don't hurt yourself by trying to get back into it too quickly.

    I hate injuries. :wtc:

Both of my rotator cuffs got fucked up and was not able to do any chest exercises for 5.5 months. Just recently i've been able to start them up again. I've been making sure to do my rotator cuff exercises now which I regretfully neglected in the past. Be careful man.

Get some rest and as close to a full recovery as possible now. IF you rush right back into lifting its only going to be for the worse.

I've had this problem, and the answer is:

    ART

I don't know if it will work in your case, but I hurt my shoulder / anterior delt / rotator on the incline, and my doctor fixed me up. It took about 6 weeks, but I'm 100% now, and only have to visit him like 3x per year.

Do some reading and correct your form. It'll take awhile longer to get better, check out some external rotation exercises.

do not bench press until your joint is recovered. if you want to do some light movements with the BAR, that might be acceptable. you will probably want to stick with machines (which dont require joint stability as much, though you can still injure joints if your movement is incorrect or you use too much weight).

go light on chest exercises, focus on the pump and muscular contraction (stop worry about the weight, until you are READY to worry about the weight)

I'm going to try this out. I have sciatic nerve damage and they think they can cure it with ART.

    Nope, just Mobic.

I really can't tell that much of a difference thus far. I mean it has gotten better, but to say the Mobic is behind it is up in the air. The Doctor only gave me enough to run until Sunday.

I gotta look into other shit I can potentially order to help it out.

click on the fucking link. Chiro's and sports therapists usually provide the treatment. I was looking at surgery for bursitis, and had the MRI to prove it. The ART worked like fucking magic. I had immediate pain reduction, and after like 12 biweekly treatments, I dropped to one per month, and now I go when I need it...like 3 times per year. The treatment isn't too painfull, but its not fun. However, it works magic. I was a skeptic too, and swore up and down that anything to do with a chiropractor was snake oil.

I recommend you go at least try it out, then get the doctor to show you some shoulder stretches, or I'll just post them here later.

    oh word?

In for you posting some of the stretches :x:

I'm definately going to look into this though... my dad's cousin is a chiro, he might be able to hook it up.

you should probably get treatment before doing the stretches, considering it will probably irritate the current inflammation.

Did you get xrays? My doc won't let me get them even though they've been giving me shit for the past 3 years  unless it's still a bitch after this month is over, then I can finally get some answers and possibly surgery. I pressed 40's last night, normally do 20 but can do 60 if I wanted to, and tweaked it from doing a situp to get myself back up. :wtc:
