I had a Rosewill internal 52-in-1, but the thing just crapped out. I bought it 6 months ago from NewEgg and tried to RMA it, but not only is it discontinued, but on top of that it's only $12 and it would cost $6 to ship it back, so they're just giving me a refund and telling me to throw it away.

I'm thinking about going with an external one this time to avoid the hassle of having to dig through my computer to install/uninstall, but I'm open to getting another internal.

I found this one so far: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820223103
    And this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820191857

Recommendations? Preferrably something that won't die in 6 months.

I just plug my camera into the computer with the USB cable and download images. I never remove my card.

I'd do that too, but it's such a pain in the ass for me.

I plug it in and import to lightroom and edit/review as they import. I'm not in some kind of hurry where I need the extra minute.

For some reason everyone on OT is on a strenuous deadline to get their pics posted on the internets. That extra three minutes can be the difference between snapshot and viral sensation!

I'd go with that if I only needed CF, but I need to be able to read SD too for the P&S.
