I saw a "diet doctor" about a year ago, and took amphetamine pills for a few days before I decided to stop taking them... I was hardly going to the gym, and just wanted to try them out.

Now, I'm dieting and going to the gym, but want help in suppressing my appetite. I'd have to tone down the cardio exercise, but I'd be lifting more. I have 7 mos. to reach my goal. But if drugs are a bad idea, I'll just work harder.

    Does this sound dumb? :o

    diet doctor = dietician?

amphetamines may not be the way to go but I'm not a diet doctor

    I suggest whole foods

I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines

Suppress your appetite by eating more frequently but in smaller quantities.

I don't know if he's a dietician only because it seems like he has an office only to make you fill out a chart, weigh yourself, and buy the pills. He says the pills will work if you meditate for a few minutes before eating. :hsugh:

All I care about is the rapid heart rate throughout the day & increased energy, cause my work-outs are leaving me tired all the time. :o

To get really close to that cracked out effect without the crack you can try SPIKE shooter energy drink.
    They sell them at 7-11.

Most powerful energy drink and tastes awesome.

Yeah, I'm doing pretty well with small meals 4x per day while at work, but I eat like crap at night, so that doesn't help me.

I recognize that my discipline is gonna have to improve from today. And I'll also follow your suggestion before I try pills, so thanks. :)

If it's cheaper than the coffees I buy, then I'll consider that as well.

High protein, because I lift during work-outs.

I live on Lean cuisines, tuna cans, and protein shakes. Snacks between these meals include rice cakes, nuts, jerky, fruit. I try to eat every 2-3 hours, but I'm so busy at work that I tend to forget to eat. :o

so... youre not exactly on board with the first two.

For 95% of the population, you can lift hard and do cardio but if your diet sucks you will continue to look like ass.

Get strict on your diet and your results will come. Improving your physique is not something that happens over night.

You should be tracking your food intake for a few weeks. Once you have a general idea of what your macros are, you can lay off the tracking. Most people think they eat well/balanced but they don't. Most people think they get sufficient protein, but they don't.

Sign up at www.fitday.com and track everything you eat for a few weeks. If you are eating the same shit pretty much every day, tracking is pretty easy after the first few days once you have everything entered in. You'd be shocked at what is going into your body.

I can't see why a doctor would prescribe you this. Seems like you're not so sure what he's done and even maybe if he's a doctor...

    Solid advice here.

And for general fatigue I'd suggest:
Eating smaller meals more frequently. Sometimes a full stomach can make you sleepy.
Trying to get a decent amount of sleep - consider supplementing zinc to help you sleep better
More vegetables - as many different fruits/veggies as possible - blueberries, broccoli, green beans, bananas etc.. they are staples in many bodybuilders diets.
Avoid sugary stuff.. if you're not good with carbs it often causes a "crash" and tiredness when the sugar rush has worn off.
