friend offered me to sell me his P99 DA/SA chambered in .40 for $350. smoking price for it so im pretty tempted. 3 magazines and a fobus holster thrown in.

nothing wrong with it. says about 300 problem free rounds through it.

but i dont know much about P99's. are there any issues that i need to know about?

Most people seem to say you're way better off with the 9mm version but for that price I'd take one in a second.

You're definitely better off with 9mm, 40 seems to be a bit much for such a small/thin gun.
But for that price, I'd probably jump on it anyway. They're really nice guns.

Kinda makes me wonder WHY he's selling it. 40 was probably too much for his girly hands.

People realizing they get nothing more from it, and it's more expensive.

Get it, worst case you can find a trade probably. There are no real issues with the p99 other than the lack of accessories and gunsmiths. Some old .40 mags had baseplate problems but I think that has been corrected.

I've had a .40 P99 for years, nice gun no problems. It is rather snappy compared to other .40's though.

maybe i'll take it for a run at the range and see if i like it. $350 seems like a steal so im tempted. my friend said he doesnt even care if i bought it and flipped it for more money.
