thoughts on the Passat W8?

    decent car...good bang for the buck used....

    passats have always been good cars...my buddy has the grey w8 wagon pictured at the bottom of that link it gets up and goes, but begs for more power....

    i'd imagine a 6 speed w8 wagon would be quite fun though....lowered with some 18's on it (i believe stocks are 17's)

    it would look good and handle better! :)

    Don't get it. The W8's 60,000mi service requires removing the engine from the vehicle and it costs $4000. Not to mention it adds twice the weight of a 1.8t on top of the B5 chassis' already-shitty front suspension.
