I was thinking about buying on just to take to the target range every now and then. For you who have fired one, how do you rank it againt the other bolt action rifles?

    I don't have a 98k, but I do have a M48BO. I love shooting it.

Compared to other bolts, well I like my M700 better, in .308. But the mauser is still a great shooter.

most mausers are great. most of them also get harder to shoot as they get hot, because the actions stiffen up. czech mausers don't do that for some reason, and some other might not, but yugos do.

i have a Nazi 98k its a sweet gun, when you buy one make sure the rifling is still good and it will be a great investment. also ammo is cheap

I've always wanted a Mauser, but I just can't justify buying one since I'd hardly ever use it :hs:

eh, I'd rather have a Garand anyway, I just wish they weren't so damned expensive.
