there are a few proven supplements and tons of shitty ones is was it basically comes down to. bcaas, fish oil, creatine, and a multi will help you more than dat dere cell tech and all that other garbage.

IMO there are no supplements that make that big of a difference. Real food is the key to victory. Supplements are a nice add on (and I use plenty) but a very poor value for the dollar, unless you're talking d-rugs and/or some of the better PH's.

The point is that you don't NEED the supplement via the supplement company. You could obtain it through regularly consumed food/beverage items.

:werd: I completely agree. i don't think any supplements are necessary

i just think that they offer a huge convenience factor.. especially for someone like me who doesn't really eat protein... if you're willing to pay for the convenience then it's good :)

I only take protein ,but thats only because i didn't feel i got anything out of the other supplements, not even a placebo effect. I'd gladly take something that made me feel a difference, even if the difference wasn't there.

Well most of the supplements I use are either stimulants (because I'm a thermo junkie) or some kind of support whether its joints, liver, heart, etc.

Then theres stuff like fish oil, multivitamins, that kinda thing. Beta alanine is really the only thing extra I use at the moment and its cheap enough in bulk.

    About 1kg, or 2.2lbs.

Jesus, relax. Creatine just isn't that important. It's not going to make or break you. Does it help? Sure. Should you take it? Why not? Do you need to take it? Not at all.

It helps a little bit but it's not that big of a deal.

I am not anti-supplements; I just call it like I see it. Nothing out there is groundbreaking "OMGIGOTTAHAVEIT" worthy. There is so much hype in this industry. Think NOXPLODE is the only thing that the mfg hypes?

There are some decent things out there that do have an effect. All I'm saying is that if I stopped making decent money, and could only afford regular food, I'd still be getting PR's.

In my opinion there are no supplements besides creatine that are actually cost effective besides the illegal ones. Simple as that. Nothing else is worth it. I don't consider whey a supplement because it's just food.

Stuff for joints and shit is fine, fish oil is good, etc.. but those aren't what I'm talking about. Let me also add that the legal OTC steroids are the only supps on the market IMO that will actually give you any significant amount of gain for what you pay, and even then it will pale in comparison to illegal.

I think supp companies in general are rip off artists for the most part

I try a lot of crap because I get it free but I can't tell anything from most of the crap. If I had to pay, I'd spend money on protein, multi vits and maybe creatine that's it. Even stuff like creatine is very tough for me to tell a difference. I haven't been lifting long enough to know if my growth is aided by creatine (or whatever else) or just because I'm eating better, sleeping better or whatever.

Creatine benefits, like the vast majority of legal supps, is minimal. THe difference being that creatine MONOHYDRATE is cheap, so for a small boost the small price justifies it. you can get a year supply for like 15 or 20$.

if you get CEE, which is more expensive/more of a rip off, it is not worth it. again, this is just my experience/opinion.
