i know you're looking at them because they look like a space-aged glock and they're cheap as fuck.

    they're shit guns.

save your money and get a glock or M&P and never look back.

    seriously.

but of course you already set your mind on it, so you'll chalk anyone's negative opinions in here to "they dont know what they're talking about" and buy one regardless

not trolling, I went glock and am very happy, but what's so shitty about sigmas? I've only ever seen one once and I haven't heard anything but bad stuff from OT

and have you guys actually purchased one and been unhappy with it?

I had an s&w sigma .40. It was pure garbage. Shitty trigger fte's and ftf's were generally one every 5 rounds. Even after sending it back to s&w.

I shot about 500 rounds through a friend m&p 9 before I felt confident enough that it wasn't another sigma and was ready to buy my own :o

Buy a police trade in glock, Or just a new glock. If you cant spend $500 on a centerfire pistol, don't buy one.

I all you can afford is a sigma and are just looking for something to shoot for fun go for it. I've had a .40 s&w sigma for a few years. I've abused the hell out of it and slacked on cleaning and it still shoots fine.

A friend of mine just bought a sigma in 9mm and I've heard no complaints from him yet.

Are Sigmas the best gun? No, but they are cheap and they work (for me and my friends at least)

For target and fun sure go buy one but for any self defense don't. I had one in .40 and hated it. Kept it a few months and traded it in. Awful trigger and some FTE as well.

My Sigma 9mm works like a champ. Anybody saying they are shit is probably just regurgitating what they read on a Glock forum.

The majority of the posts on the first page are people asking about trigger jobs or comparing the sigma to xx, or xxx, and even a few broke sigma threads.

    :bigthumb: great example.

actually trigger job consists of taking one of the springs out and chucking it.

    broke? open your eyes :hsugh:

All I am trying to say is, $400-500 on a glock pistol that you can trust your life on is worth every damn penny.

I am no rich guy, ammo isn't cheap, so I don't shoot it out of anything I wouldn't trust my life to. Every shot is practice, even if I am dicking around in the woods.

I have shot more ammo through all of my pistols than each of them are worth. Which isn't very much when you consider $500 worth of 9mm is only ~2500 rounds.

Hell, you can get a police trade in glock 23 for $320 that has more holster wear than use. I just dont see the point in buy anything cheaper.
