I miss Bas, but Frank Trigg has potential. He should be a solid commentator after a few events.
Pride needs to develop a few more top-tier heavyweights. Fedor is in his prime, and shouldn't have to resort to apologizing to a circus freak for knocking him out after 26 seconds.
Gomi is an electric talent, and could be the next Silva, in terms of highlight material.
CroCop before Fedor fight > CroCop now. He telegraphs his kicks, and visibly shows his frustration. Oh, and wrestling shoes aren't too effective when your main weapon is your feet.
Mark Hunt, with better conditioning and more MMA specific training (ground skills, takedowns) could be a legitimate challenge to Fedor. Hunt's natural strength, toughness, striking power and instincts are very impressive. He took CroCop's head and body kicks in stride, and definitely earned his victory.

More to come later. It's Silva-Arona time!!!

fucking gay, they left 5 fights off the PPV. Why didn't they just make it a 4 hour telecast like they did with the Bushido tourney?

I liked the event, but I'm annoyed I didn't get to see the other fights.

The thing ended at 11:40 by my clock, and they had some pointless filler promos in there between fights. I understand not showing the Heath Herring idiocy, but how could they not show Alexsander? He's turning into a major draw.

just watched the fights. Minowa vs Sakuraba was pretty cool, kind of like the newton fight.

Zuluhinzo let me down, I honestly thought he would at least be able to hurt fedor a bit, but he seemed so slow and weak.

I don't even think he touched Fedor :dunno: It was almost like fedor was beating up on a big blow up doll

I loved the part where he threw Zulu's legs out the way like they were paper.

Gomi and Fedor will dominate MMA to the end of their careers IMO. Gomi improves by leaps and bounds, and he has a chin right next to Hunts in toughness.

That's the hardest fight I've ever seen him win.

yeah I was impressed with that as well. Nastula is a big fucker, and aleks did well.

I am suspicious about the ogawa fight. Every fight I've seen him in looked like a work.

gomi is going to have a great highlight reel

i dont ever want to see zulu again

crocop is the same as he was before...but hunt is one of the worst possible matchups for him...hunt is a tank but has a long long way to go

i expected nastula to get destroyed but he did impress me

i hope they get rid of takimoto

i thought kondo vs nakamura should have a least been a split decision

was a bit suprised by silva/arona decision...i thought they would have given it to arona...even though i do think silva won

i dont see what's so suspicious about the ogawa fight...but yoshida looks funny without a gi

I dont know what Pride has agains Nastula... Nog and Aleks for first 2 MMA fights are not easy. They should let him fight a can once or twice, let the man taste victory and get the feel for MMA, not throw him to the dogs.

And a big :fawk: to who ever is running the North American Pride events, what the fuck are they thinking? The broadcasts are fucking terrible, and they cut half the god damn card, and not showing intros pisses me off to no end. I fucking paid for fights, not advertisements of HARDCORE KNOCKOUTS!
They really need to clean that shit up.

Best fight for Mark Hunt right now would be Aleksander Emeliankenko.
