Thoughts on Optimized Volume Training?

    My friend, who is a n00b, thinks that OVT is the routine he should be using. I tell him that it's a more advanced training program and not one that a beginner should use.

    Prove me right, plz.

    Honestly I think a person can do valume even as a noob but they will have to use light weight to build up strenght and stamina. But avoid doing valume compound movements. Just go heavy and keep the sets and reps low.

    When new people ask me for advice on what to do in the gym I usually just tell them that espicially in the beginning just getting there and getting the work in is the most important. I'll give them a basic split and tell them to work hard. Once, the noob gains start to tail off, we talk about different training methods
