Heard the quality has gone downhill but haven't handled one personally.

the first handgun i ever owned was a Para P16-40 Limited....made my novice ass look pretty decent at the range back then. Sold it for a Glock 23....the rest is history....

Had one. The thickness sort of defeats the idea of a compact, concealable weapon, IMO. If it was for exposed, duty type carry, a full sized Para would be okay, but I think for the purpose the P12 is intended, one of the single stacks would be a better choice.

i had a p-14 for a few months, constant jams (fail to feed, like 13 jams out of 14 rounds on every single mag, with 4 diff. mags) even after 2-3k rounds were through it. had a gunsmith look at it, and it was still fucked after that. granted he didn't do much, just smoothed the ramp... but still. damn. no more para for me. i bought it brand new for like $680. ouch. ended up cleaning the shit out of it and traded it towards a p220. best gun ever.

but a good friend had a p13 he swears was the best gun ever, and he said he only had 1 jam in about 4 years of owning it.
