no.. just a base.. but still.. can't beat 222 HP for that price... and the looks... sr20wop... the cheapest vr4 within 300 miles of my location was 19999.. can't really afford that right now...

heavy curb weight+automatic can beat 222HP+drivetrain loss for the price. 3000GT isn't my thing, but if you like it, then that's all that matters.

I was going to comment on the VR4's tranny issues, but it looks like you're a step ahead of me.

They're aight. Just don't go throwing some Altezza tail lights on them and we'll be straight.

ok car for cruising but I wouldn't invest money to mod it, just keep it reliable and enjoy it as is.

well i guess like everyone else has said already, tranny probs esp w/ vr4, heavy as sheeeeeeit. my buddy sold his 99 vr4 2.5 years ago. the car started going into the shop at least twice a month before he sold it. he had an Sl model before that and loved both of them... his words all show no go. got a good hookup on fiberglass/carbonfiber hoods and pillars for the car. fitment is guaranteed and everything is handmade. possibly a widebody kit completed and produced by now. PM me if ur serious and i'll hunt down some pics to show u.

your car is heavy as hell, so your 222 hp kinda gets drained.....plus its an automatic.

what is the curb weight for the base? i thought they were up around 3700-3800lbs?

you should have bought an acura legend or something, they are at least comfortable, get decent gas mileage, and arent complete tanks when it comes to weight.

7k...wow....what a waste imo...you could have picked up a wrecked vr4 for 8, and but maybe 2 into it.

It will cost a good penny to modify your car to beat the average ricer boy out there nowadays, as your car will run a 16.5+ *unless its a factory freak* in the quarter mile.

Trust me, I know, my stealth is an ATX. I've done years worth of research on it, and have a built up auto transmission, and the thing is still slow.

Ignore the idiots that think they know things about VR4's on this board, 3SI.org will provide you with factual info.

My cousin owned one before he had a wife and kid. He said the only proble with it was that it would burn oil when it got into the 100,000 mileage range
