You do any excercises for abs? Ive heard its all about diet and low bf, and that excersises are pretty useless.

I have a low bf, but abs are slacking :o

  2. Pretty much all about low BF% in general and it helps to have genetics that don't put fat on your abdominal area.

I have okay abs and work them ~3 times a week...I used to never work them though and still had them visible just because I have a low BF%.

First priority I'd work on was cleaning up diet and then work on actually working the muscles.

I rarely do direct ab work...

    I dont have shredded abs.

It's probably because I'm fat, but it feels good to say its because I dont work them.

Well.. like any muscle you can work them out and make them stronger/bigger

But in terms of how visible they are, it's pretty much 100% body fat dependent

I used to think excess ab work was bullshit untill I added an abs day in my routine.

    I'll do something like
    Cable Crunches 10-12x3
    Jack Knifes - failure x 3
    Weighted Leg Lifts - 10-12x3
    Dragonflags - faliure x 3

    you have no muscle

  9. Yup, situps is a lot of hip flexor strength and knowing how to use it, not necessarily a ton of abs. I still do sit ups as a part of my ab workout though. That and leg raises and some decline situps and crunches and other shenanigans.

and using timber as an example

look, there is clear muscle definition, no one with low bodyfat will have large ab muscles, it is something you have to actually train.

    key ring maybe?

  14. I dont think anyone would put keys in that little ass pocket...plus I dont see any keys on the rings.

I bet he just has like 4 condoms in there just in case any hot broads are at the gym and he needs to rail them right then and there. You know? :naughty:

What's the harm in working abs, even if you have low bodyfat?

Definitely no harm and more likely beneficial. Personally I don't see much of a difference aesthetically whether I train them or not.
