Well after almost four years of my neighbors watching and making fun of my obsession with keeping my paint clean they finally broke. After seeing the work I did on the Equionox last week they decided it couldnt hurt to let me have a go at it. Car is about four years old with close to 45K miles. It is washed about once a month (mostly by the delearship) and waxed at most three times a year. Worked from 3-7, total take was $75 woth a $5 tip.

She was rather pleased with the car. Her husband couldnt tell a difference :sosad. I called her to come over and pick up her car and she brought her 11 year old daughter. She saw a bug on the hood and procede to jump onto the hood and wack the bug with a hand that had a ring and watch on. I feared for the paint, but luckily there seemed to be no scartches from its ordeal.

I don't think he really cared either way. Some people just don't understand or cant see the difference. I might call him over and show him a half and half of a swirled hood.

Some people just don't care how their car looks as long as it is clean. :sad2:

Looks really good to me. :)

Ive had two details that have been this way.
People asked for it. I showed them how, what, why, and all that. And they just didnt get it. Infact one of them actually prefered the swirld side of the hood becuase....get this...."it looks more sparkly". Keep in mind this car was straight black. SIngle stage old school lexus paint. I nearly cried after i compleated that car and handed them back the keys, knowing it was going to get thrashed again.

The other person didnt see any difference, and haggled over the price for a good 30 minutes. Even with before and after photos of the car.

Some people will never just never get it.
