Does your coverage include accidental damage? Mine covers the usual items - theft, etc but not damage.

If yours covers damage, what company do you use?

Hell, even if it isn't damaged at all just take it to a friends house and say it was stolen :hsd:

They require a police report and for you to show that you made reasonable attempts to protect your property, IE: locked your doors and whatnot. The ruse would have to be slightly more elaborate than taking it to a friends house.

I've heard of people in the UK getting robbed and just making up shit that they own. All the insurance company need is someone who is not family to say that they owned the item :noes:

    p.s. I wasn't being serious before.

or if one of your parents has/had USAA (assuming they were in the military), you can get it too.

my agent is an amateur photog as well, and he said "don't even worry about your stuff". :dunno:

My state farm covers accidental damage home & away. I'm covered under a personal articles policy for photography.

I'm not listed as a pro right now, but IIRC they have another policy available for that which is more expensive. Insurance runs roughly 1% the total value of the insured equipment/year for me. Also have house & car insurance through them.

Not according to my Allstate agent. He said I should be covered for any risk or damage. However, he did tell me to read my coverage statement when it comes in the mail in a few days and to call him back if I had any questions.

try calling a different agent? My agent and I have known each other for over 27 years. He's been my only insurance agent during that time and he's been very good to me concerning rates and coverage. He's even told me things that he's not suppose to in order to help keep my rates low.

According to my agent I have no deductible. Again, I'll have to wait to see what my new policy says when it arrives.

You should be able to check it online, that's where I got my info. It prints out the exact same stuff they mail to you.

I've been with this agent for about 11 years, since I moved to NV. I'm not really sure wtf is going on but I'm going to call :hs:

I went to Allstate's web site and found this:

so it appears as if they do cover damage.

Yeah, you've got to provide a list of the items you want covered and a receipt for the value. I pay $14 per $1000 of value for my coverage.

I'm thinking that watches and rings fall under that SPP coverage.
