the new Gold uses those. I cant stand them.
They have those at the UCF gym
I like them, easy to pick up because of the handles
how come? whats so bad about em?
they dont roll, probably not the same diameter as a normal plate either...
I just dont like them.
And like fatdude said they dont roll. So im sure if i ever do dead at this gym its gunna suck.
they make round plates with handles too
they dont look as cool either. you have to line them up and shit.
deadlifting sucks with them. Plus if either the plate or the sleeve spins when you deadlift, there is a chance that the weights will not land flat.
you cant plate pinch with them either since they dont have a flat side.
WTF???? Your av?
hahahaha sexy isnt it.
GT gym has 'em, DL'ing does suck with them
I hate deadlifting with those plates
thats all my gym has =\
those are like 6 or 8 sides
and are plastic...what garbage
no shit huh?
it's like "pick up this weight....oh by the way it's also a quiz on geometry"
that's every single weight at 24 hour, octagon covered in black rubber with 2 handle holes. I never really thought that having a completely round plate would help any better, i just always lined them up.
they're only good for standing on, for deadlifts
when you get a few plates on the bar they roll just fine.
how does something that is not round "roll just fine"
I like them
never used em before though
i dont mind them, if you bump into them it doesnt hurt as much as metal
i hate the plates at my gym, they are round but they have to be on a certain way for them to "lock" together. Its hard to explain but they suck ass
