    Koklyaev pulls 750x11 with a full reset on each rep and no hitch at all. After doing a 420 axle press and stones for reps :rofl:

    Zavickas doing a 440 axle clean and strict press w/ 0 leg drive :rofl: so stupid

    Someone should send this video to Matt Rhodes and ask him to expand on why he thinks SM's "lack in strength" :mamoru:

    do axles and the handles inside logs all have knurling on them or are they smooth?

    they are smooth

    takes good grip to hold an axle.. for example, ive seen a 750 puller not be able to holdon to a 530ish axle in a deadlift. it took me awhile just to be able to holdon to 550 when i was doing sm

    crazy. i guess straps are allowed though based on that video? not sure how much they help in this case.



    video was just ridiculous dude.... for the 200kg c/p he doesn't even use any form tricks, he just pulls up the fucking weight and pushes it :bowrofl: i can't watch it and not laugh.

    for most deadlift events in sm you can use straps. sometimes theyll make it an axle deadlift with no straps. sucks

    i still can't get over zavickas' press

    that's what even most of the strength elite have trouble incline benching, and that fucker just leaned wit rocked wit it and pressed it up

    You have to realize that he's joking, right? He's probably the biggest fan of Zavickas. Rhodes is joking probably 85% of the time. He's retarded about 95% of the time.

    He's not joking about that. I consider Rhodes a friend, and probably talk to him 2-3 times per week on average. He's a very smart guy, with little patience for those that won't get under the bar. He's one of the best coaches I've ever met, bar none. He really is ridiculously good at coaching.

    Yeah cuz I'm not honestly sure what powerlifter could do a 750 for 11 deadlift, full reset on each rep with 0 hitch. Bolton for sure I'd guess.. Benni can't do it and he's a 970+ puller..

    whats interesting is benni always places well but doesn't actually win many or any of the SM dl events.

    Chris you should know, doing one lift competing vs training for endurance/reps is like apples and oranges....

    not really. As dave tate has said, to train for lots of reps the most important thing is your maximal strength. the first thing defranco does with people for the 225 rep test is get them stronger in their 1rm.
