I really wasn't a fan of Crysis, but the story in Crysis 2 sounds a lot different. I might give it a shot.
PS, why is this supposed to piss off PC crew? Because it will also be available on consoles?
I'll care about Crysis in about a decade when I have a good enough PC that will play it maxxed out at 60 FPS.
i played crysis, got bored with it pretty quickly
crysis 1 came out for consoles too.
PC crew won't be mad because it'll look 11ty times better on the PC than on console.
Crysis, the actual game, is fucking terrible.
Gorgeous graphics...but what a shitty game.
lol cyrsis 2 on console won't look even look as good as crysis 1 on pc. It is physically impossible to render those crysis 1 graphics seen on PC on a console.
Because typically when games are made to be ported to consoles they dumb the shit out of it. Look at BF:BC2 compared to BF2, or any console game ported to PC. Ubisoft is a major offender of this.
While normally I would agree for other PC games, Crysis wasn't exactly the Mecca of complex gaming. I don't think that they'll need to dumb down anything for the second.
from everything ive heard, crysis was nice to look at but nothing special to play. ill play this one since its on consoles. dont have or want to spend the money on a new pc
edit: nvm, i could've sworn the crytek engine 2 was a console port of the crysis engine, which they then used to release crysis. looks like it was a tech demo showing off the crytek 3 engine port.
Crysis was fun, but it was the type of game where you think to yourself the entire time "goddamnit, this could be so much better if they changed this or that.." For example, they should've exaggerated the suit powers a bit more, and extended how long you could use them.
I don't know why this should piss PC gamers off. It'll still look and run infinitely better on PC. I guarantee that a lot of the cool shit they did with the physics in the first game, among other things, won't be there on the consoles.
I never cared for that game
Why should they be pissed off?
I heard the graphics were going to be semi bad because they went to consoles, but this one sounds like it may have a story and hopefully some of the rather bad problems with the original like the enemy always knowing where you were will be gone.
Might be worth getting. And if the graphics are worse like people were worried I wont even need to upgrade.
I'm pretty sure the engine for the PC version of the game is being developed seperately. So the limitations of the console engine shouldnt make that much of a difference to the PC version.
