ill never understand why people will arm themselves with that much ammunition.. and keep it loaded in magazines. dont get me wrong.. its cool and all, but pretty impractical. thats more ammunition then a soldier carries at any given time.
i dont want to even know how much that weighs
I'm not going to keep it all on me, I just brought it to work because they were all unloaded and this was a good enough reason.
I do. How much does it weigh
It's for an AK. May take that many rounds to register a hit at 100 yards.
I figure 1 mag per bg should suffice.
I don't think there are any scales here.
If you got the ammo and mags why not keep them all loaded? Majority of all my mags are loaded.
Loaded mag's take up less space then empty mags + ammo.
And the thing is, you're not too far from the truth.
if you think that.
The only reason these weren't loaded because is because I've been lazy. I have 4 of my 20 AR mags loaded but that's because I've been slowly buying 223.
I'm planning to keep mine in a drawer in the file cabinet FTW.
i KNOW you believe that to be true.
I keep 10 in the bedroom in the Pelican case and 10 in my truck in a Pelican case.
Don't loaded mags kill springs overtime?
Maybe after 200 years or so.
the general consensus is that the spring fatigue is pretty minimal when you keep them loaded. Fatigue comes from compressing and releasing
general consensus or that is the way springs work?
That is the way metal is.
