And I've tried everything to get it to post - running it without all PCI devices , RAM, HDDs, CD-ROM drives, and I still can't get a picture, or get it to post for that matter. I'm at a loss of what to do to fix it-- I hate storebought computers and I can never pinpoint their problems. It's an HP Pavilion 7960, and if someone can help me get this son of a bitch to post, I think I'll paypal them $5. haha.

    thanks!

Have you tried testing the CPU, RAM, etc... in another machine??

    Could be a bad motherboard...

I can't do that, because all of the other boxes here are AMD based, and this particular HP uses RAMBUS while everything else runs DDR.
