JJ reality show pilot on Youtube

Glover’s Travels to tour JJ academies around the world

With its second episode already featuring on Youtube.com as a pilot, Glover’s Travels is a reality show starring Jeff Glover, a Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling dynamo with a nimble and lethal guard, who makes the rounds at Jiu-Jitsu academies around the world to unearth the best of what each has to offer.

The brainchild of Budo Videos’ David Contreras, the idea behind the internet broadcast is to give back to the Jiu-Jitsu community by providing exposure to the different schools it comprises. With the professional filming, editing and know-how of the Budo Videos film crew, each episode will feature a different Jiu-Jitsu academy, and the expertise of seven-time Grapplers Quest champion Glover.
Check out the pilot shot at Gracie Barra Irvine now showing on Youtube:

You could see how respectfully he was rolling, that would be one thing that I might not like about the show. I love watching the best guys roll hard to see what they do under pressure and how they attack. Obviously in his position, glover has to go in respectfully like that, but it kinda sucks to watch flow rolls every time.

Looked like they were just flow rolling to me? No big deal. I think a lot of the big dogs do that when the visit other academies. Could have been how they did it for the show too :dunno:

Of course I would have liked to see them go at it - but their flow rolling is still better than 99% of the shit I see around here daily.

I think it'd be cool if at the end of the ep they have an actual match with a Blackbelt in a similar weight class. I guess it leaves chances for injuries which wouldn't be good.

pretty awesome but I don't think a major network would pick it up, considering it is basically BJJ only, they would want Glover to visit a bunch of TMA places around the world and make wisecracking jokes and have a partner

maybe the FightNetwork would pick this up though, or fund it

I wish they rolled a bit harder just to kinda see the movements, but good show nonetheless
