Does say a 110db on each arm the equivalency of 220bb? say when benching?

You're talking about dumbbell benching and how it translates to barbell benching?

I think that typically people cane bench press more with a barbell than dumbbells since it's harder to balance dumbbells

db's are going to take more stabilizer recruitment and less body usage

I've never once seen someone doing more on a db than a barbell. I don't know the actual scientific reason, just a trend that I notice.

so, in a way, using db is better...

either way is fine. I like DB's more because it puts less stress on my shoulders. I am damn close to doing my DB weight to my BB weight because of chronic shoulder pain I get from barbell benching

I'm not so sure. Personally, I've found that mainly barbell benching using *some* work with dumbbells has worked the best for me. But for you dumbbells might be better.

most people can't DB bench what they can BB bench. I like DB bench since I never need to ask for a spot, since you can just set the weights down on either side of you, but I'll do BB bench occasionally.

I suck dick at DB benching, especially compared to my BB bench. But with dumbells you can't rely totally on your triceps, or use your lats as much, or use leg drive, etc.

if you did a deep (touch arm pits) db bench with 110's then you can bb bench 315 for a few reps.
