:werd: I am glad it was only a WASR though. I've just recently gotten a bunch of corrosive 5.45 only used it on my last range trip though no rust on my gun :bigthumb:

    Jeez....

In Bosnia someone turned in an AK to us that was covered in dirt and all kinds of nastiness from a total lack of maintenance or even simply being buried in the ground for years and years....

It didn't look as bad as that and more importantly:

    Fired without a problem....

that is NOT just corrosive ammo. your corrosive ammo is only going to affect the bolt, gas system and barrel.

pure neglect with ammo as the scapegoat.

:werd: I have to agree I've bashed the WASR and Romy rifles in general but as long as the monkeys that work over at CIA didn't fuck anything up while assembling it there just as reliable as any other AK. Although my WASR is now my most abused and neglected AK, I paid about $320 for it after shipping and ffl so that makes it the perfect beater it only gets cleaned if i shoot corrosive ammo.

yeah, god help you if you got a shitty one from them. luckily, mine is great. sure its like a fast civic compared to a ferrari in terms of finish, but that can be fixed with a little stain and duracoat. no canted sights, shoots pretty well and hasnt jammed once. also i havent found a magazine yet that it will not accept.

Actually tone would wrap it around his balls. Wesley pipes would be a much better guy for the job.
