you can't tell if someone is a good photographer or just simply amazing in post processing
these days you have to do both equally well. Chase Jarvis is a great photographer, but also does a lot of PP work.
Why hate it? They're both skills, but people who pull good images out of the cam and then make them awesome with PS are always better than those who are master choppers and take shitty photos.
he's fucken amazing
You can't make images like Chase does without being BOTH.
mother fucking dot
he needs to put up more videos on to his site though. thatd make me happy
oh i know...
I'm just starting out, and I'm not great at all.
One thing i want to start reading up on is lighting
Once i do that, my next investment will be a flash
So I googled Chase Jarvis and...
This pic is bad ass:
But WTF is this? Why is this one of his faves?:
Can the A&P Gurus explain to me what is good about the second pic?
i dont know but maybe its him running with his dog and has personal meaning. just a guess
That first one was shot on a green screen. Badass nonetheless.
The 2nd just conveys movement and is something different. The hand is in focus.
post processing is part of photography, they just didnt have photoshop back in the day
I wish I had a better eye for photography
mos things you do in photoshop are based on shit that went down in the darkroom.
true story. Pretty much everything.
you know i was trying to figure out a lot of his photography and never got it and then i saw that one video and realized he uses green screens in a lot of the pics.
NoiseNinja got its roots from a little fucking Chinese ninja fucker that would look at negatives under a microscope and fix the noise. The guys around the darkroom would call him NoiseNinja, the gook or charlie but they decided NoiseNinja was the best to go to market with. He was a pretty good dude but got caught bringing other members of his family into the country trying to use his passport on numerous occasions. He was also notorious for writing Nike or the swoosh symbol on shit and selling it as if it was nike authentic. I was first alerted to this when he tried to sell me my camera with a nike symbol on it...I was suspicious because Nike doesn't make cameras and it looked like my camera.
I really need to learn how to PP...
Cept sparkle text.
lulz. It's a Plug In tho.
You'd be amazed. I can do lens flare in the darkroom too.
