MMA This coming year's goals...

    Not sure if anybody made a thread like this yet so let's post our goals for the end of 2007.

    For me, I would like to be at the level where I am tapping out every purple belt I come across, and hopefully get a purple myself.

    How?
    I am going to work heavily on all parts of my game but especially top sidemount, and turtle/front headlock.

    :cool: goal, my goal for the end of 2007 would be to get my blue belt and maybe start some more mma specifiic training instead of just bjj. I'd also like to get to around 265-270lbs by the end of 2007

    I want to be a purple, 190 5%, 3-0 MMA, and most importantly, have no injuries.

    I'm currently a blue, 183 7%, my first mma fight should be in a few months, and I'm rehabing my shoulder that I dislocated doing a takedown.

    not really...i just been using the weak gym at my condo...i tried bulking for most of the year but it wasn't too successful...i started cutting and now at pretty lean 170+...plan on getting gym membership soon

    yeah the weights at your apartment aren't gonna cut it, you need some real weights. check out that gym down your street, Baileys Powerhouse, i'm gonna switch from Golds to that one soon.

    I don't train (though I'd like to start next summer)

    so....get my squat/dead up past the 400 mark and drop to 220-230lbs. (My bench is almost at 300 but my squat and deadlift are coming slowly due to a back injury I've been recovering from :o )

    I wanna get down to 155 pounds and start rocking ass at Judo tournaments. I was recently promoted to yellow belt (go me)......... but i never even fought in a tournament. Judo is teh ghey because we're not allowed to do chokes/armbars until we're an orange belt. I'm not a big fan of belts........ as far as i'm concerned, i'm a glorified white belt.
