The zombie stuff starts at minute 37. All before that is bullshit on his carry 1911 and all the fugging holsters he has for it.

    :mamoru:

Taurus Judge? Pump Shotun Only? S&W 500 as his zombie handgun of choice :ugh2:

.223 is no good for zombie defense? :eek4:

The drum fed Saiga makes sense though.

I've always figured that since zombie flesh is so rotten and degraded, anything bigger than a .22 should do the job. I always have to go :ugh: to anybody who specifically reccomends any sort of high-power weapon for zombie apocalypse. Though as soon as they mention a "deagle" it's easy enough to realize that don't know jack shit about guns.

You have to sever the spine or crush the skull to stop a zombie. Sounds like his advice is based on this. 223 isn't ideally suited for popping grapes.

Although handguns would be mostly worthless an S&W 500 isn't a bad choice as far as handguns go, particularly with a long barrel and scope. Pump action shotty is the defacto standard for zombie preparedness because ammo would be more widely available, it makes big holes, and historically they are less likely to fail (though I think modern auto's are quite a bit better than they used to be)

I thought it was known that a head shot from essentially any modern firearm would put a zombie down. and that no matter what else you did to its body, it would still limp after you till you destroyed its brain.

and so since a .223 will leave a brain much different that it found it, I thought it to be a more than capable zombie defense arm. and shit, I thought the thinking was that a .22 headshot would be enough to stop a zombie, as a .22 headshot to a human generally means instant brain death.

but back to .223 add to that the fact that many 30 round mags can easily be carried on one's person and it seems like an AR would be a great choice...

of course I concede I may be mistaken. someone show me where I am wrong.

If I had to pick a handgun round for zombies, it's be 10mm. :mamoru:

Although it'd be hard to find spare ammo after you ran out. :dunno:

When I read the survival guide a couple of years ago im pretty sure it suggested using a .22 at close range because it can ricochet inside a zombie skull.

That book was written by a comedian.

Not saying his advice is categorically bad, of course.
