    or
    tabula rasa
    or
    vanguard
    or...

what do you guys recomend? ...not as hardcore as i used to be. i just want an enjoyable game again that i can login and feel like it's a new experience.

looking for something that can bring me into the world and make me feel like i'm living the experience and not just playing it... like the old days.

i can barely get into games anymore for more than a couple minutes.

edit: downloading trial for lotro, still up for recomendations though.

    thanks.

I was just messing with you...anyways, I've not heard a single good thing about Tabula Rasa. And everyone that I knew that played WoW and went to LOTRO came back because it was terrible.

i just did the same and i blue screen after 5 minutes of it running... yet i can run far more graphicaly intense games.

happend like 7 times, then i uninstalled.

doubt i would have stuck with the game, but it reminded me alot of ac2 so it's too bad. :hsd:

If you want something completely different, i.e. not a WoW clone, and you liked Sid Meier's Pirates! then go to Fileplanet and join the beta for Pirates of the Burning Sea. It's actually quite fun and the economy game is similar to EVE, yet the game itself is not boring. PVP actually effects the gameworld for everyone else and makes a pretty compelling reason for actually doing it. That said of course, while the quests are very well written and entertaining to read, they can get a bit boring, but in general are more fun than standard MMO quests, it's just always a good idea to take a break from questing now and then to go and PVP or do Economy game stuff.

Guild Wars is the best PVP game on the market considering the excellent combat system and virtually no barriers to competitive entry. It is all gladiator style, with multiple formats to choose from and almost exclusively precise teamwork at the highest levels, Team Arenas, Guild vs. Guild, & Hall of Heroes/Heroes Ascent.

Team Arenas is a 4v4 match that works in a never-ending ladder. If you keep winning, you play matches until you lose.

Guild vs. Guild is essentially capture the flag, Guilds are ranked and the best teams compete in ladder tournaments a few times each year.

Heroes Ascent is a few different types of play chosen at random, winning this will get your team into the Hall of Heroes.

Hall of Heroes is where teams from different regions (America, Europe, Japan, China, Taiwan) compete for control of the high end PvE realms. Any region that wins five matches in a row takes control of the zones for parties to enter. As best I can recall the match types are the same as Heroes Ascent except that they are limited to two teams going head-to-head.
