    84 lbs...oh my lord. If it didnt cost that much, I would totally buy the 80+ lb one. Strictly for cardio though

    links to cheaper, generic brands?

    If you plan on going to the heavier one eventually, minus whale shoulder the load and get it done with now. I'm sure you can find generic brands cheaper like White said, though.

    Any particular reason you want to train with one of these?
    I'm considering it for firefighter training.

    Just want to go a little bit more intense and also may be taking a firefighting course in the fall.

    I looked again on ebay and found nothing cheaper, well I did but it was significantly less weight.

    where are you in canada?

    if you're close to a big US border city, there are usually companies that you can have shipped to for a small fee where you can go pick it up.

    $227 is cheap for the 84 lb, it's $300 from EFS....and the X-Vest is the best-fitting weighted vest out there
