I'm thinking overkill really, but woudn't hurt to know..
How is the accuracy? Do you need at least 1000watts to take advantage of this sub? I will be ordering a JL 500.1 sub amp to power a JL 10in w7, but I can get the Rockford alot cheaper, should I go for the Rockford?

Well, the amount of power you need will be dependant on the enclosure size you use, and the frequency content of the music you listen to.

IMO the W7 is a better woofer, but that particular Rockford isnt bad either.

for the price you can get that RF for now, go for it, they can sound decent in the right enclosure, but they are heavy duty subs, and like 04 said they need some decent current to get them going, I would put it in a decent sized ported and run close to 1000 watts for daily

Ok, sounds good. I am waiting to find out if I can get the w7 from my buddy, should find out tonight, and if I can't I'm thinking of going with this rockford.
For an amp I was thinking a JBL 1200 for the rockford, would that be sufficient?

Also, I listen to anything, but mostly rock. In the car it just depends on my mood. So would a sealed enclosure be better? How many cu/ ft. shoudl I be looking for, 1.25ish? Thanks

I haven't heard that RF sub mentioned, but since I'm SQ-biased I'd go with the known performer, the w7

the IDQ can be added to the list, along with a Crystal COMP and COMPx2

not to mention my H2 sound very smooth, getting the 2500D more signal soon
