Real country music like Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings is good. Southern/Blues Rock like ZZtop is good. But for the most part what you'll hear today is bastardized rock music with pop-redneck lyrics.

    Speaking of Jennings and Nelson

Listen to some Chris LeDoux. I don't really like country, but I think he's really good.
