I've held this off for over a year now but I've finally decided to get something . I was always thinking of building a computer, but I've pretty much just decided that since I don't use the computer for a whole lot I might just go with a company.

I'm looking for something under $800. Maybe something that's a bit flexible too, incase I want to install a new video card or something (I can't with my current HP :ugh:). I don't play video games a lot, but I like to play every once and a while. So I'm not looking for something that would, say, play Half-Life 2 generation games at peak performance, but can atleast play them when I want to have fun. I've only looked at the most expensive Dell Dimension 3000
It looks good to me but I'd like OT's input, as well as any recommendations.

    Thanks :)

ive looked at a high-end 3000 before. from what i recall, it doesnt have an agp slot. just forget dell, and build your own...much better deal, and youll actually get the parts you want.

if you buy a computer from a big-name such as dell, and you don't get a good video card stock, then count on getting fucked up the ass when it comes to having expansion.

Dell works on cost -- if they can cut a corner, they do.

just so you know, PC Buzz doesn't charge to build the computer if you buy the parts there. I'd say at least go check em out since you're in OC.
