I hear that even more harsh kalifornistan laws are going to be passed against handguns. Even though I don't need anything I think I might pick up one more .45 before I can't get one anymore.

I have a Glock 19 right now which I love, and a USP .45 that I love even more. So I was thinking of getting a G21 but 1911's are great guns as well. Whatcha guys think?

You could even find deal on a fullsize USP and have money left over for something to shoot out of it.

Because after he buys a case of ammo and maybe like one customization, he'll have <$100 to take a class...

C'mon its a gun not a complex instrument a SA GI 1911 might not be as flash or cool as the high end but I don't buy into having to spend a grand to get a good 1911 either.

I'd pick the glock, but I don't like manual safeties on handguns.

The GI 1911 are not a good base gun to build off as the ejection port is really high. Compare it to other 1911s

I'de go with a nice 1911. Every one should own atleast one 1911, assuming its going to be a range gun? Having owned a G21 they are nice guns, your in kalifornistan so capacity isnt a big issue you get 2 more rounds with the G21.
